Haven Update
Spring has brought a renewed sense of energy and anticipation to The Haven.

Inside the home, our moms are taking meaningful steps forward — preparing for their babies, working toward personal goals, and building stability for what comes next. What may appear to be small, everyday moments often represent significant progress, and we are honored to walk alongside each woman during this important season.
Beyond the home, we continue to be encouraged by the strength of our surrounding community. From volunteers serving behind the scenes to churches and partners showing up in thoughtful, tangible ways, we are reminded daily that this work is not done alone.
Because of you, The Haven remains a place where young mothers can experience safety, dignity, and hope.

From Our Leadership
Seeds of Growth
As we reflect on the month of March, we are reminded that growth often begins quietly through small, faithful steps that, over time, produce lasting impact. Much like seeds planted in early spring, the work happening at The Haven continues to take root in meaningful ways.
This past month, we welcomed a new resident into our home, providing her with a safe space and the support she needs for the journey ahead. We also celebrated the birth of a precious baby Girl, a beautiful reminder of the life and hope at the heart of our mission.
Community continues to play a vital role in nurturing that growth. In March, we hosted a baby shower for a baby BOY due this April, surrounding one of our residents with encouragement, generosity, and love as she prepares for motherhood.
Behind the scenes, the steady rhythm of care continues. Our team provided 97 nights of care among all of our precious residents, ensuring that each resident experiences stability, structure, and support every single day. Beyond our walls, we maintained 55 post-placement contacts with former residents, offering guidance, encouragement, and connection as they continue growing beyond The Haven.
Each of these moments represents a seed of hope, of stability, of new beginnings. And because of your support, those seeds are growing into stories of transformation that will continue for years to come.
Thank you for being part of this season of growth.

Community and Gratitude
The Haven continues to be strengthened by the generosity of our community.

This month, we were especially encouraged by several meaningful acts of support that reminded our residents they are seen, valued, and not alone.
Students from Hebron Christian Academy’s first-grade classrooms collected and donated personal care items for our residents and babies. Their thoughtful generosity was a beautiful reminder that compassion can begin at any age.
We were also blessed by a visit from Hebron Women’s Steadfast Ministry, who shared a meal, brought cake, and spent intentional time encouraging our residents. The moms expressed how meaningful it was to connect with women who simply showed up and cared.
In addition, Union Grove Church hosted a baby shower, surrounding one of our residents with celebration, encouragement, and practical support as she prepares to welcome her baby.
We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in our March Mamas Gift Card Drive. Thanks to your generosity, in the final weekend push, the $1,000 goal was not only met — but exceeded — with an end tally of 75 gift cards totaling $1,300 collected.
Each act of generosity; whether through prayer, giving, or presence, reminds the families at The Haven that they are not walking this journey alone.
Ways to Support
Volunteer With Us
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we are especially grateful for the individuals and groups who give their time so generously.
This month, we were honored to welcome an incredible team from Victory Church, who helped organize and inventory our Maternity Clothing Closet. Their service created a more welcoming, organized, and ready-to-use space for the moms we serve.
Volunteers play an essential role at The Haven; supporting everything from behind-the-scenes organization to hands-on service opportunities that directly impact our residents.
If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to get involved, we would love to connect with you.

Honoring The Haven at the Georgia State Capitol

On March 18th, The Haven was honored to be recognized at the Georgia State Capitol, where a resolution was presented during the Morning Order acknowledging the work and mission of our organization.
This moment provided a meaningful opportunity to bring awareness to the importance of supporting young mothers and their children across our state.
We were especially grateful to have 4 board members and 7 staff members present, representing The Haven and the broader community that makes this work possible.
Following the presentation, a reception was held to celebrate the impact of this ministry and provide an opportunity to share more about The Haven’s work, recent successes, ongoing challenges, and current needs with those in attendance.
We are deeply thankful for this opportunity and for the continued support that allows this work to grow.
Thank You for Walking With Us
Because of your support, young mothers and babies at The Haven are experiencing safety, stability, and hope.
Your generosity, prayers, and encouragement make this work possible; every single day.
