Thank you for your interest in volunteering for The Haven! Without volunteers and support from people like you we would not be able to serve young women and their babies. There are many ways you can help. Please review the different levels of volunteers and watch the video below for more information on how to get started.
- Level 3: I’m all in! Volunteers at this level can supervise and transport residents when needed (possibly on short notice). Requires an interview, references, an intensive background check, a high level of training, and a minimum age of 25. Examples include stepping in to supervise the home in an emergency, transporting residents to medical appointments or work, regularly coming to the home to assist the house parents, anything listed under Level 2 and Level 1.
- Level 2: I want to be there! Volunteers at this level can come into the home and interact with the residents but are never responsible for the supervision of the residents. Requires a minimum age of 25, references, a background check, and some training. Examples include coming to the home to teach a life skills class (such as cooking, financial planning, resume writing, parenting, etc.), school tutoring, leading a Bible study, arts and crafts, regularly coming to the home to assist the house parents during busy times of the day, and anything listed under level 1.
- Level 1: I want to help! Volunteers at this level provide support and help outside of the home. Requires signing up and there is no background check or minimum age. Examples include organizing welcome/birthday baskets, event help, assembling craft kits, meal or meal kit drop offs, office support, etc.
