The Haven at Hebron Maternity Home offers safe and stable housing with a wrap-around services program during your pregnancy and postpartum period to help you prepare for the birth of your baby and for your future in a loving home setting. Read through the FAQ below to learn more!









Where is The Haven located? The Haven is located in Dacula, GA in Gwinnett County.
Do I have to be in Dacula, Gwinnett, or Georgia to apply? No! The Haven accepts applications from anywhere in the U.S.
What are the requirements to become a resident? Every application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if The Haven can meet each applicant’s needs. The basic requirements to apply are:
- You are pregnant.
- You need safe and stable housing.
- You are 18-24 years old at the time of your application (We are working towards licensing to accept applications from applicants under 18. If you are under 18 and want to be placed on our waiting list, please fill out this form »
- You are not married.
- You have no other dependent children currently in your care.
What if I have a Criminal History? All applicants will sign a background check form as part of the application process. The results of the background check will be reviewed on an individual basis. Please do not let a criminal history or prior arrest stop you from applying!
What does The Haven program offer? In addition to housing, meals and transportation, The Haven offers the following wrap around services to each resident:
- Case Management Services
- Professional Counseling
- Education and Employment Assistance
- Life-Skills Classes
- Pregnancy, Childbirth, Breastfeeding, and Parenting Classes
- Social, Cultural, and Leisure Activities
How much does it cost to live at The Haven? The Haven and all of its services are offered free of charge! For medical costs we will help you sign up for Medicaid if you have not done so already.
How Long does the application process take? The Haven is not a Temporary Emergency Shelter, which means there is a process to apply. The first step is to fill out the initial Application for Residency (linked below). Once we have reviewed your application and have determined that we think we can meet your individual needs we will reach out to you to schedule an in-person interview. You may also request a tour of The Haven at that time. After the interview we will make a final decision and will contact you regarding the move-in procedure. The whole process can take as little as a few days or as long as 1-2 weeks depending on how quickly you are able to respond to requests for any additional information needed.
How can I prepare to speed up the application process? Start gathering the following items (if applicable) to speed up the application process:
- Your State ID or Driver’s License if you have one
- Your Birth Certificate
- Your Social Security Card
- Any Insurance Cards you have (Health, Dental, Vision)
- Names and contact information for any doctors you have seen in the past year (including OBGYNs, PCPs, Dentists, Eye Doctors, Mental Health Professionals)
- Names of any current prescription medications
